Preliminary Call for Papers - SNA-2010 (CFP PDF document) Second International Conference on Sensor Networks and Applications |
November 8-10, 2010, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, Sponsored by the International Society for Computers and Their Applications (ISCA) |
The International Conference on Sensor Networks and Applications (SNA-2010) provides an international forum for presentation and discussion of research on sensor networks and their applications. The SNA-2010 conference will feature contributed as well as invited papers concerned with practice and applications. The conference also includes a Best Paper Award given for a paper presented at the conference. Papers will be accepted into chaired presentation sessions. The topics will include, but not limited to, the following areas: |
On Sensor Network
theories, models, security, and protocols: There have been deep research
activities on sensor network theories and models. Their goal is to enable
a sensor data query from hundreds of (even more) tiny, resource-constrained
sensors. Interesting topics include: Information acquisition from sensor networks Data fusion / aggregation from sensor networks Network protocols and self-organization Congestion control and traffic models Mobile sensor and actor networks Underwater/acoustic sensor networks Security, Reliability, Fault-tolerance in sensor networks Other research on theories, models and protocols |
On
Sensor Network Applications: Sensor networks are envisioned to enable
a series of applications such as environmental surveillance, healthcare,
plant/building automation, homeland security, multimedia acquisition, and
so on. Although sensor networks have been in active research for many years,
realistic deployments have not yet seen widely adoption. The lessons and
experiences from sensor network testbeds and real-world applications could
greatly advance this technology. Topics of interests on applications include: Healthcare /patient monitoring /body sensor networks Environmental monitoring Chemical / gas leak detection Pollution /air quality monitoring Building automation / visitors' guiding system Plant / farm monitoring Disaster recovery Vehicle automation other novel applications |
Keynote Speaker: Dr. Bir Bhanu Instructions
for Authors Papers will be accepted
ONLY BY ELECTRONIC SUBMISSION in PDF format. Please include a cover page
containing title, author's name(s), address, affiliation, e-mail address,
telephone number and topic area. In cases of multiple authors, all correspondence
will be sent to the first author unless otherwise requested. https://cmt.research.microsoft.com/SNA2010/ The submitted manuscript should closely reflect the final paper as it will appear in the proceedings, which will be a maximum of 6 pages (+ 2 pages with additional page fees) in ISCA format. (See http://www.isca-hq.org/sample-isca-manuscript-format.pdf ) If you encounter any
difficulties during submission or if you require further information,
please contact: isca@ipass.net. Authors wishing to have their papers reviewed for possible publication in the ISCA Journal of Computers and Applications should send by postal mail or email expanded versions of their papers directly to the Editor, Prof. David Jeff Jackson (See Instructions to Authors at: http://www.isca-hq.org/j-authr.htm ) . |
